Each week our friends at Last.fm Discover introduce a hot new band about to burn up the charts.  This week the folks from the taste-making blog bring us Graffiti6.

This week  we at  Last.fm Discover, feature British pop newcomers [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Graffiti6[/lastfm]. The team of singer/songwriter [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Jamie Scott[/lastfm] (pictured) and producer TommyD began their musical collaboration in Fall of 2008. Prior to starting G6, Jamie’s soulful voice could be heard as a solo artist and fronting [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Jamie Scott And The Town[/lastfm]. He also appeared in the 2006 film Step Up and was on the soundtrack. Tommy has worked with [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Jay-Z[/lastfm], [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Kylie Minogue[/lastfm], [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]KT Tunstall[/lastfm], [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Kanye West [/lastfm]and [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Janet Jackson [/lastfm]to name a few. He also produced the debut album for [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Right Said Fred [/lastfm]which spawned the world-wide smash hit “I’m Too Sexy.”

They stopped off at the Last.fm Discover studios to perform four songs from the debut album Colours. Here, we’ve got the the in-studio performance of “Annie You Save Me” and the story behind it, plus the video interview. I love the many styles of music the two of them bring us on this album, and these acoustic versions are stellar! Also pounce on the links to check out the other songs they did as well as the full interview.
