129086 dish of salt steven tyler discusses becoming an american idol judge American Idol Apologizes

Huh? Steven Tyler apologized for a curse word no one remembers on ‘American Idol.’ Does AI just need ratings???

Wednesday night’s “American Idol” began with a gesture that seemed to good to be true – an apology.

As the sober, printed message from the network first scrolled crossways the screen, inquiring minds wondered, what would Fox be apologizing for?

Earlier in the evening, the entertainment show “Extra” had speculated, with a straight face, that the rumored defence would address those who felt “A.I.” had exploited the pain of the young women suffering from brain alteration by wheeling her out in front of the whole world the other week.

Naturally, the whole thing turned out to be a joke. Fox had video of Steven Tyler implying a curse word in a segment that either hadn’t been shown or few would remember.
