On love:

“Falling in love is such a force, but this is a whole other level of magic. I was very closed for a long time. But I feel so open now. To feel open like this means you’ve found the center in yourself. You’re not hiding; you’re not worried about anything. Everything’s going to be just fine.”

On being a mother:

It’s amazing…the best thing in the whole wide world. I know it sounds cliché, but that is how I feel about being a mother.

On balancing her personal and work life:

With more experienced, I’ve learned that it is possible to do, but the choices I’ve been making  are more direct, whereas before when I first  started I wanted to do as much as possible.  Now I’m really considerate as to what I choose to do.

On the re-release of a deluxe edition of Songs In A minor:

It’s a true passion and love project. It’s a beautiful rebirth that leads me to do music in this industry for the next 100 years.
