Sort of — the Commander in Chief didn’t exactly rock out to the song karaoke style, but someone with plenty of time on their hands and decent editing software went to town on clips of the POTUS and set it to his own rendition of Carly Rae Jepsen’s “Call Me Maybe.”

Also, Buck and Coop made their own version of the music video at a ton of local spots in Detroit! If you havent seen it you can check it out here!

How do these mash-upers do it? Well, one popular Barack mash-uper Fadi Saleh previously commented to the New York Daily News on his techniques saying, “A big portion of that time was spent finding words and phrases from the song in Obama’s speeches over the course of his presidency.”

“Call Me Maybe” has become an Internet and radio sensation, sparking covers and tributes from countless groups including the Harvard Baseball Team, fellow artists fun., and Justin Bieber.

Carly says her favorite parody of the track is a “Call Me Maybe Obsessed” but after this maybe she’ll support the President Obama version? And perhaps Obama will call her, maybe, to perform at the White House.
