This big movie released this past week was the Marvel Comic re-boot of The Amazing Spider-man.  If you came with us to the 98.7 AMP Radio exclusive screening of the film at Emagine Theatres in Novi on Saturday, you got to check it out in first hand.  If you didn’t, you may be wondering if it is worth to see it.  Well, I have the details on that!

You may be used to seeing Tobey Maguire as Spider-man/Peter Parker, but the the re-boot of this classic comic book character, Andrew Garfield takes the role.  And after watching the movie this weekend, I promise, you won’t miss Tobey!

My favorite thing about this version of Spider-man, is you get to see a darker side of Peter.  You get to see another side of how he gets teased in school and how he gets picked on.  With that said, you get to see another side of Peter when it comes to love!  Emma Stone plays Gwen Stacey, who seems to later become Peter’s girlfriend.  This actually takes up a LOT of the movie, which is not a bad thing.

There is a love story, mixed with a story about Peter finding himself as a person, mixed in with some GREAT action scenes that make for a wonderful experience.  This is a movie where even your lady friend will enjoy!  If you haven’t seen it yet, I suggest to check it out, and not compare it to other comic book movies.  But watch it and throw your expectations out the door, because Andrew as Spidey will be around for a while!
