Forbes Drops List of Highest Paid Celebs: Oprah Leads, Dr. Dre Not Far Behind

Just in case you forgot that the middle class is disappearing, Forbes just released their list of highest paid celebrities for 2012.  You know, just in case you needed to be reminded that Oprah made 3284 times what you did last year.

Some surprises to me: Dr. Dre pulled in $110 million, no doubt thanks to his high end Beats By Dre Headphone line.  Also, Britney Spears tied with Tiger Woods for last place with $58 million.  I’m sure he’s thrilled about that, not really sure what she did to cake up.  Finally, where is Floyd “Money” Mayweather?  Boxer Manny Pacquiao secured the #16 spot with 67 million.  Forbes has the list as May 2011 – May 2012.  Mayweather fought twice during that period, guaranteed 32 million for just one of those fights.

Here’s the list:

#1.)  Oprah Winfrey,  $165 million

#2.)  “Transformers” director Michael Bay,  $160 million

#3.)  Steven Spielberg,  $130 million

#4.)  “Pirates of the Caribbean” producer Jerry Bruckheimer,  $115 million

#5.)  Dr. Dre,  $110 million

#6.)  Tyler Perry,  $105 million

#7.)  Howard Stern,  $95 million

#8.)  Author James Patterson,  $94 million

#11.)  (tie)  Glenn Beck and Elton John,  $80 million

#13.)  Tom Cruise,  $75 million

#14.)  “Law & Order” creator Dick Wolf,  $70 million
