Last week I told you about a possible TV Show in Detroit. Well it’s a go, but not in Detroit. Eddie Murphy is set to bring his ” Beverly Hills Cop” franchise to the small screen, as CBS has ordered a pilot from Murphy and Shawn Ryan, the creator of “The Shield”.

Murphy will be an executive producer on the show, and will reprise his role of Axel Foley in the pilot. He could recur on the show should it receive a series order. With Murphy’s character being from Detroit, I wonder if they will shoot some of the show here?

“Beverly Hills Cop” would focus on Axel’s blue-collar Detroit police officer son, Aaron, and his fish-out-of-water efforts to take down criminals in Beverly Hills while living in his father’s shadow. I’ll keep you posted on when the show will hit the air.
