The town of West Branch, MI is rallying around a teen who was voted to homecoming court as a prank. She’d been bullied for years, and then some kids thought it would be funny to vote her on the homecoming court. When it was announced, kids pointed and laughed at her in the hallways, and the boy she was picked with backed out of the dance.

But now the town is coming through in a big way. Someone started a Facebook page supporting her which has over 4000 likes from all over the country. A salon in town has donated a cut, color, and style for her hair. Other local businesses are paying for her shoes, dress, dinner, and more.

Above Whitney would like to thank her family, her friends, and all the people who’ve supported her through this. You’re all wonderful. 🙂 She has a date for the big dance and plans to go and have a good time. Support her Facebook page here.
