Would you dig through the dumpster to save some money? A New York City woman who dumpster dives for food is sharing her secrets for saving $4,000 a month. She gets all her food from dumpsters, she doesn’t use toilet paper or do laundry, and her goal is to have $250,000 in savings by next year.

She uses soap to wash herself off after going to the bathroom, she cuts her own hair, she washes her clothes while showering, and runs to work instead of taking the subway. Don’t believe me… check it out for yourself.

She also takes surveys online to earn gift cards, tests products for free samples, and earns extra cash with medical trials. She’s sharing all her tips on the new TLC show “Extreme Cheapskates which aired last night.
