A couple of years ago there was a scandal where names of people who had passed away were used to vote in the election.  Well, this time around, a guy actually died while voting.  And when trying to be revived, he regained consciousness, then proceeded to ask if he voted or not!

According to the Detroit NewsTy Houston, 48, a home care registered nurse, as at the township building in Southfield when he saw an older couple voting on their absentee ballots.  As he was on the other side of the room, he heard the older woman start to scream when her husband wasn’t responding.  He rushed over to see if he could help.  That’s when he realized the worst:

“He was dead,” Houston said. “He had no heartbeat and he wasn’t breathing. I started CPR, and after a few minutes, he revived and started breathing again. He knew his name and his wife’s name.”

Reviving should have been the most astonishing part of this story, but it isn’t!  When he came to, the first thing he asked was, “Did I vote?”  When his wife told him what had happened and that she was more worried about his health, he said he was only worried about making sure people know that he only had two things on his mind,  “That I love you and that I finished what I came here to do … vote.”
