It was a huge night for The X Factor USA as One Direction took the stage to get “crazy crazy crazy.”

The guys sang the lead single “Live While We’re Young” from their sophomore album Take Me Home as well as their latest single “Little Things” to an electric crowd who immediately began screaming when the performance started.

Apparently, they forgot they had sixth member of One Direction in Drew Brees as he had a message for them after they finished their performance.

“He’s a really good footballer, really really good, but I’m not so sure about his singing,” Liam Payne said.

And it appeared host Khloe Kardashian-Odom had a thing for Zayn Malik because she immediately stood next to him and continued to put her arm around him after asking the crowd “How hot is One Direction?!”

Despite being a fan of the band and rumors of a romance with Niall Horan, Demi Lovato was not so nice to Simon Cowell on Thursday night’s live episode as she slammed him for plugging the band in a contestant’s performance.

Emblem3, one of Cowell’s mentee’s performed a mash-up of multiple songs including One Direction’s “What Makes You Beautiful.”

Lovato said in her critique, “If I had been your mentor, I would have made sure that I wouldn’t have plugged one of my artists that you can easily be compared to.”

Cowell defended his choice.

“It was a hint of One Direction. It was a tribute. That’s called being clever,” he said.

Regardless of the beef, Lovato appeared to have enjoyed One Direction’s performance on Thursday night’s elimination show.

Take Me Home is in stores next Tuesday.
