I was watching The X Factor last night with my daughter Gillian, who is 11. She says to me, “is Khloe trying to be Kim Kardashian?”  I replied back, “well they are sisters.” Then Gillian says, “oh… well at least she has a job!”  I thought that was funny.  Khloe by the way is not doing so great as a host.  What do you guys think?

Last night right off the bat someone was sent home and personally I’m not surprised by it.  Simon’s group Lyric 145 GONE! Their performance Wed. night was a train wreck and I guess America wasn’t feeling it.  Lyric Da Queen is the rapper from Flint, MI.  As a rapper she has some skills and at this point she needs to ditch the band mates and go solo!  However that’s not the case.

Lyric Da Queens’ band mates, Jemelle and Julien Joseph, said they plan to “move forward” as a group after the show. “There’s nothing like us in the industry right now,” Julien explained. “We’re planning on moving to L.A.”

Then it was revealed that Jenne Garcia and Paige Thomas both received the next fewest votes. Judges Simon Cowell, Demi Lovato, L.A. Reid and Britney Spearslistened to the two finalists each perform their “song for survival.”  Garcia, 18, performed an emotional rendition of Hoobastank’s “The Reason,” while Paige, 22, sang Coldplay’s “Paradise. The end result sent Demi’s girl Garcia home. That was the right call by the judges.  I really like Paige and I hope she sticks around!!

Then a real star, the country princess Taylor Swift came out and performed her song “State of Grace” for the first time live on television. Check it out!
