1. Baking Soda: a little box of baking soda can go a long way! Don’t bother spending a ridiculous amount of money on clarifying shampoo. Just add a teaspoon of baking soda to your shampoo to help get rid of any build up. Also, it is a great for getting your teeth whiter! If you’ve ever tried whitening your teeth you know how expensive that stuff is! Instead, just mix 1 tablespoon of baking soda with 1/4 cup of water. Then add the mix to your teeth (with a cotton ball), let sit for about a minute, then rinse.

2. Olive Oil: Is it the end of the night and you realize you’re out of soap, face wipes, or makeup remover? Just put some olive oil on a cotton ball to get your face makeup free! Also, if you have any wooden furniture that is starting to look dull, forget purchasing all of those fancy “furniture shinning” products. Just wipe some olive oil over it and it will look brand new!

3. Dryer Sheets: Did you cook something delicious but can’t get that fussy pan clean? Simply fill the dirty dish with hot water, lay a dryer sheet in it and let it sit over night. In the morning the dish will wipe clean with no fuss, it’s magic!

4. Rubber Bands: Notice every time you buy bobby pins or barrettes, they are all missing within a month?! Instead of having them always disappear on you, simply store them all on a rubber band. They can just dangle there and stay safely in one place. Now you can keep the rubber band full of clips/pins in a drawer or tacked to a wall!

5. Table Salt: Next time you spill a drink or food on your carpet grab some salt! Pour a generous amount of table salt over the spill and let sit for about a half hour. Then vacuum over the salt and just like that the stain is gone! Save money and avoid buying multiple stain-removals that hardly work.

6. Cornstarch: Matte nails are in and a matte clear coat is so expensive! Instead, just add some cornstarch to your clear nail polish. Then you have your very own homemade matte coat! Also, if you don’t like spending a pretty penny on a mineral-powder try this: combine a table spoon of cornstarch and a table spoon of baby powder. Sift the two together and you instantly have a finishing powder to put over your foundation!

7. Lemon/Orange Peels: When your garbage disposal starts to stink cut up some peels from an orange or lemon. Then drop them down the disposal and turn it on with the water running for about 10-15 seconds. Repeat until the smell is gone. Now you’re sink and kitchen will have a fresh citrus smell!

8. White Vinegar: Got weeds taking over your garden or popping up across your yard? Forget the pricey weed killer that is full of chemicals. Simply fill a a watering can or spray bottle with white vinegar. Then spray it on your walkways and weeds that you want to disappear! Make sure you do this on a sunny day that isn’t too windy, you don’t want it to blow on your plants!

9. Honey: Besides tasting great, honey can clear your skin! Put some honey on anyone unwanted blemishes and then cover it with a band aid. Let sit over night and and then rinse in the morning. The honey naturally kills bacteria, keeps your skin sterile and speeds the healing process!

10. Foil: If you’re out of AA batteries use AAA instead. Then fill the gap with a little wad of foil on the positive sides. Also, if you never want to buy dryer sheets again, wad up a ball of foil in throw it in your dryer. It will eliminate all static!
