Facebook has become a very important part of life for many people.  Sometimes it’s to get gossip, other times it’s to check in on what friends are up to.  But new studies show that many of the users are getting tired of being tied in to Facebook on a constant basis.  And there are many parents that actually want to get their kids off of Facebook, because it has become too much of a distraction.  One father is paying his daughter $200 to get off the social media website!

According to CNET.com, the story of the father that is paying his daughter to get off of Facebook is not what it may seem.  This wasn’t even his idea, it was hers!  Rachel Baier has become very bored with Facebook, and has found it too distracting.  And since her father has probably told her in the past that he agrees, she thought maybe she could make some money with the deal.

Now, the craziest part of the deal is how she gets her money.  She doesn’t get it all up front.  She won’t get her first $50 until mid-April.  And she won’t get the entire payout until mid-June.  And the craziest part is the deal is only for the next 6 months.  She doesn’t have to stay off of it forever!  How about you?  Would you quit Facebook for $200?
