Go Red For Women This Week On Street Beat!

February is national American Heart Month focussing on women and heart disease. You may have noticed the GM building downtown has gone red to spotlight the month of February. There’s been countless “Go Red for Women” events nationwide including fashion shows to raise awareness, and on Street Beat we learn of a big one coming up in Detroit!

Also on Street Beat this Sunday, we sit down and discuss senior issues with members of our community. I help take care of my 92 year old Grandmother, and it’s a lot of work caring for her. I learned so much this week hosting Street Beat including what my parent’s can do to help better prepare for their future. Something we all should be thinking about.

Join me this week as I host Street Beat at 11am this Sunday on the CW50. If there’s an organization that you are involved with and you would like me to feature on Street Beat please let me know! I’d be more than happy to highlight your passion!
