How I Met Your Mother: Barney & Robin’s Wedding Playlist

After eight seasons of the slow-burning romantic roller-coaster between the womanizing Barney Stinson (Neil Patrick Harris) and former Canadian teen pop queen Robin Scherbatsky (Cobie Smulders), How I Met Your Mother will culminate in TV’s most anticipated marriage since David and Donna finally tied the knot on 90210 (the original, people). Following years of Barney’s rampant skirt-chasing and Robin swearing she’d never get married or have kids, the show’s two unlikeliest suspects will exchange vows in what “Future Ted” called “a wedding day that went horribly wrong” towards the end of Season 7 (although show producers swear the couple will indeed make it official).

In honor of this hallowed occasion, this playlist reflects 10 songs that would be most appropriate to soundtrack the big day. From emotional ballads to dance-floor workouts to the stars of Canadian music, this playlist will bring out the latent romantic in even the most jaded of hearts. If Barney and Robin can find love, anything is possible.

Bryan Adams, “Heaven”

Frank Ocean, “Thinkin Bout You”

Flaming Lips, “Do You Realize?”

Grizzly Bear, “Two Weeks”

Beyonce, “Halo”

White Stripes, “Fell in Love with a Girl”

Sade, “By Your Side”

Bruno Mars, “Just the Way You Are”

Cheap Trick, “Voices”

Calvin Harris, “Feel So Close”
