Plan B, or “The Morning After Pill”, taken by woman as an emergency contraceptive, when they have had unprotected sex or suspect their first form of contraceptive has failed. The pill has to be taken with in a day or two in hopes stop a pregnancy from happening.  Plan B has been around for some time now, but it has been regulated pretty heavy, not allowing just anyone to buy it. Until recently, you had to be at least 18 to purchase the pill and it was sold behind the counter at pharmacy’s.

Now, it will be available on shelves in stores to women as young as 15. Has the availability of this pill gone too far?

Many woman mistakenly use Plan B as as an alternate form of birth control, but the problem is the pill isn’t meant to be used on a regular basis. When a female start to use it as contraception, it will mess up their bodies natural hormones, let alone all of the side effects that come with it.

As it was announced that the age requirement to buy Plan B has been dropped to 15 years old, many callers chimed in with what they thought. Some people think it is ridiculous to enable young females to purchase while others hope it will stop “babies from having babies”
