Sno Cone Joe Stalked Mr. Ding-A-Ling

You CANNOT make up stories like this!!  Police had to be called when two rival ice cream men started to threaten each other, because they both thought that they had the lone rights to sell ice cream in the city.  While it ends with a call to the police, it started with taunts and threats!  The things that were said are just unbelievable!

According to, owner of Sno Cone Joe, Joshua Malatino, had started to make threats to the Mr. Ding-a-ling truck.  Mr. Ding-a-ling had only been selling in the town for a week or two when Malatino had enough. “You don’t have a chance!” Malatino yelled to the 53-year-old Mr. Ding-a-Ling driver on one of his first days in Gloversville, according to court documents. “This is my town!”

Police said Malatino called the Mr. Ding-A-Ling headquarters in Latham and told them “I own this town!” and, police said, claimed “that his business controls the ice cream sales market in the city of Gloversville.”
