With her new single “We Can’t Stop”, which is getting mixed reviews, Miley Cyrus took to Twitter to let the world know that she doesn’t really care what people think.
“The biggest thing people say to me is that ‘I love that you don’t care what people think’ because I don’t, but in the best way possible. Of course I want people to love my music, but at the end of the day I make music for me. I make music because I love it and I know that I put good energy into it, so it’ll be all good.”
Everyone should do what they love and put “good energy” into it, for sure. But they should also maybe put some of their skill and talent into it instead of just slurring about doing lines in the bathroom, you know? Is that a reasonable thing to say?
Here are Miley’s thoughts on her Disney days:
“Moms remember watching their daughters watching the show [Hannah Montana] and kids remember watching the show, but that’s not who they think I am. People have a misunderstanding I think, actually people don’t know though because I do so much on my own like putting out my twerk video even.”
