Kelly Clarkson was forced to “Walk Away” from her set Friday night during a downpour in Detroit. Clarkson was only 20 minutes into her set at the opening of the Microsoft store in Somerset mall when a flash flood hit. Kelly made jokes saying “I’ll stand out here in the rain with you! Well, at least we’re not sweating,” while wrapping a towel around her head and promising two more songs to her fans. However, despite being a great sport, Kelly was pulled off stage due to safety concerns.

Disappointed fans were shortly informed Clarkson would not be returning to finish the show and she later took to her Twitter to apologize, writing “Sorry Detroit about the rain! Wow, it was coming down hard at the end! Thanks 4 hanging in as long as we all could!”
