Lea Michele: The Moment She Heard About Cory Monteith’s Death

All of Hollywood, family, friends, and Glee fans are still grieving over the sudden tragic death of Cory Monteith. Lea Michele, who has called Cory the love of her life is completely devastated. She’s asked for privacy during this difficult time. We are starting to hear a little more now like where she was when she got that call.

Lea allegedly got the call around 10 p.m. on July 13. The person on the other end of the call had been frantic to reach the Glee star before she heard of 31-year-old Cory’s passing on the news or social media.

“Lea completely lost her mind. She went crazy, screaming and crying until 3 a.m.,” a source tells Us Weekly.

Lea has pretty much gone into seclusion in Los Angeles. “Lea has been inconsolable and feels like she’s been hit by a truck. She didn’t know he’d started using again. She is camped out at a friend’s house because she can’t be alone now,” the source says.

Lea did step out to say her final goodbye. Cory’s mother, Ann McGregor, held a viewing at the hospital with Lea, and Cory’s older brother, Shaun Monteith on July 16th. His mother cremated his body in Vancouver after the viewing.

So sad that drugs and alcohol took his life. Something he battled with for years.. Sometimes fame and love doesn’t take away the addiction that lies deep. Glee won’t be the same without Cory and I’m sure it will take Lea Michele a lot of time to move on from this…. So heartbreaking for this young star..
