With his sophomore studio full-length, B.O.A.T.S. II #METIME, hitting stores this week, (September 10), superstar rapper 2 Chainz sat down with Ryan Cameron and his morning show crew at Atlanta radio station V-103 to talk about what fans can expect the second time around.

“I’m excited about it, I worked with some great producers, still kept it ATL,” he said during the interview regarding the new album while referencing his hometown of Atlanta, GA. “Still stayed in my lane, but I definitely (grew) on this one. I widened my lane, I’ll say that. I didn’t get outside of it. I’m very excited about the music, the mixes, the arrangements.

“I put a lot of work into this album. It was non-stop,” the “Birthday Song” rapper added. “It’s just a lot of heart, sweat and tears, a lot of culture, a lot of lifestyle, a lot of traveling…I didn’t reach a glass ceiling, so I still feel like I can grow some more.”

Another big topic of conversation during the interview was food, with 2 Chainz talking about including his cookbook, #Mealtime, as a bonus feature on the new album.
