According to Arsenio Hall, Kendrick Lamar is the reason he came back to late night. So it’s safe to say the host was pretty excited to have the young rapper take The Arsenio Hall Show stage last night (September 17) to perform his song, “m.A.A.d City.”

With a full band behind him, Kendrick got hard, spitting “If Pirus and Crips all got along/ They’d probably gun me down by the end of this song/ Seems like the whole city go against me/ Every time I’m in the street I hear/ Yawk yawk yawk yawk.”

Later, Lamar brought out Schoolboy Q to do Q’s new track, “Collard Greens” from his upcoming album, Oxymoron.
