Kanye West kicked off his Yeezus tour last night in Seattle last night and along with a huge setlist of hits new and old, Kanye is recasting all kinds of religious and historical iconography into his own light.

To start, his tour merch includes shirts like the one you see above, with the grim reaper/skeleton holding a scythe draped in a tattered Confederate Flag, often viewed as a symbol of racism. According to Complex, (via the Instagram of Kanye’s creative director Virgil Abloh) Kanye’s shirts also include a skeleton praying above a Yeezus logo done up like the classic Metallica logo:
