Demi Lovato Talks Being A Role Model, Doesn’t Support Miley’s Lifestyle

Demi Lovato and Miley Cyrus come from the same Disney stage… both girls are adults now, but at two different chapters of life. One lives a clean, sober life after a rough drug addicted past, while the other is all about partying and doing whatever she wants!

Demi Lovato has always beem extremely comfortable with discussing her past drug addiction and other personal demons. Ms. Lovato sat down on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson where she talked about why she’s so upfront about her darker days.

“I’ve always been a really motivated, driven fighter, so when I first got sober I was like, ‘I’m gonna show all of you. You think I can’t get sober? Well watch me!’” Demi said. “And then now I’ve stuck to it because it’s made my life so much better. And there’s a lot of young people who look up to me and there needs to be someone that stands out and says it’s not about molly and partying and all that stuff.”

That statement certainly goes against Miley’s We Cant Stop anthem with her lyrics saying, “We like to party/Dancing with molly.” Well! At least we know if Miley’s lifestyle choices get too out of hand her good friend Lovato will be there to help!

Demi has spoken out on Miley Cyrus in past interviews saying,

“[Miley] knows how I feel about the whole partying thing,” Demi told MTV in July. “I love her to death, and I’m always like, ‘Okay, just be careful.’ I care for her so much [that] I’m so protective.”
