Report: Selena Gomez Secretly Went To Rehab!

This one managed to stay out of the headlines… until now! We know that Selena Gomez cancelled her tour in December due to health issues. At the time, she released the statement:

“It has become clear to me and those close to me that after many years of putting my work first…I need to spend some time on myself in order to be the best person I can be.”

I’m sure Justin Bieber hasn’t been helping her stress level!

Reports are now surfacing that Selena quietly checked herself into rehab for a two week stay in January at the Meadows recovery center in Wickenburg, Arizona.

A source told the gossip site Radar Online that before she snuck away to rehab, the 21-year-old had been “partying very hard,” and had been “experimenting with marijuana and prescription drugs, including Xanax and Ambien.”

Selena has been working non-stop for years and that fast life and the pressures that come with it are out there. The source continued say this:

“It just got to a point where she needed to get out of Los Angeles, get away from ‘the scene’ and the pressures of Hollywood, to also get away from those who had, admittedly, become a bad influence on her.”

However, Selena’s rep insists that substances were not the issue for the rising starlet, stating: “Selena voluntarily spent time at Meadows but not for substance abuse,” (via New York Daily News).

Whatever the issue, we are wishing Selena a speedy recovery! Your fans adore you and hope you get back to a more positive path.
