Drake’s Rolling Stone Cover Story: Kanye Shade, Actor Ambitions and The YOLO Estate

This morning, Drake sent out three tweets that called out Rolling Stone for both printing comments about Kanye West which he claims he never said, and  for swapping his cover story for Philip Seymour Hoffman, who died February 2.

These honest though probably ill-advised tweets are now deleted.

Published online this morning and on stands tomorrow, Drake: High Times at the YOLO Estate has arrived, Yeezus quotes and all. Unless Drake said that the “Swaghili” quote was off the record, Rolling Stone went and printed it in all of its shade.

But the story is more than just some gentle ribbing by Drake. Jonah Weiner’s feature goes to Drake’s YOLO estate in California, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, and back in time to talk about the history of Drake, his schooling, his parents, his acting career (both past and future), and talking about his dream of one day owing the “biggest residential pool on the planet.”
