Lorde wants radio stations to stop playing her hit, “Royals.” Apparently, she doesn’t want the song, which won her Grammy’s this year for Song of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance, to wear on fans.

The 17-year-old hit maker has kind of been everywhere lately, and she wants to prevent herself from being ‘overplayed’ before it’s too late.

According to Gigwise, Lorde told V Magazine:

“I want to let people stop hearing Lorde on the radio all the time, because it’s kind of crazy at the moment. I’d like to give people a little bit of breathing room before I unleash something different.”

Should we honor her request?
