8-Year-Old Michigan Boy Helping Pay For Students Lunch

This is what it means to ‘Pay It Forward’! Cayden Taipalus, an 8-year-old boy in Howell, is helping his fellow students pay off their lunch accounts at Challenger Elementary.

Cayden noticed that some kids in his class weren’t able to afford their lunches, so he and his mom decided they wanted to do something to help them. They created a FundRazr page where people could crowd source donations to help students at his school.

So far he’s raised $1,600 and was able to pay off the lunch debt of 300 students, plus give a little extra to their families. According to his FundRazr page the boy would like to eventually pay off all the school lunch debt across the country.
