During a recent run-in between pop icons Miley Cyrus and Avril Lavigne, things got pretty heated!

Apparently, the feud started when Avril was named the most popular artist in her home country of Canada, and Miley decided that was unacceptable!

“I may not be Canadian…But I’m the most famous person in Canada!” Cyrus claims in the video, also yelling a string of profanities at the pop/rock star.

According to E! News, the confrontation took place while Cyrus was performing at Toronto’s Air Canada Centre yesterday (March 31), making it a bold move on the “Wrecking Ball” singer’s part, as she is clearly on Lavigne’s home turf.

…alright, alright! By now you can probably tell that the whole ‘fight’ was all in good fun. In fact, Avril Lavigne even took to Twitter afterwards to post a picture of the two singers hugging it out with the caption “April fools.”

Could this newfound friendship mean that a collaboration between Miley and Avril is in the works? We sure hope so!

Miley Cyrus’s Wrecking Ball Tour will hit the Palace of Auburn Hills on April 12, while Avril Lavigne is set to open for the Backstreet Boys when their In A World Like This Tour makes a stop at DTE Energy Music Theatre on June 17.
