When it comes to her career, it seems like Rihanna prefers to work with Jay Z!

The 26-year-old Barbadian babe’s first ever record deal was with Def Jam in 2005, which at the time, was headed up by Mr. Shawn Carter himself.

Four years later, the duo parted ways when Jay left the label to start Roc Nation. Since that time, the RiRi has released seven records under Def Jam, but now, it looks like she’s heading in another direction – and all roads lead back to Jay Z!

Complex reports that the pop superstar has recently penned a deal with Roc Nation and is now listed under the ‘Artist’ section of the label’s website.

However, according to Billboard, Rihanna’s next album, which is expected to be announced soon, will still be distributed by Def Jam and the label will continue to have involvement in the project despite her departure.

And while Rihanna and Jay Z’s reunion will likely turn out some great music, could it also cause a rift between her and rumored boyfriend Drake? The “Take Care” rapper, who is signed to Young Money Entertainment, has been reportedly feuding with Jay over the past few weeks, so this new deal might make things a little awkward…
