Despite multiple reports that Naya Rivera (Santana) had been fired from Glee, a pretty reliable source is now saying otherwise.

While recently speaking with Extra, executive producer Ryan Murphy debunked rumors of Rivera’s departure, as well her alleged feud with co-star Lea Michele (Rachel) in one fell swoop!

“I don’t think there is a story between Naya and Leah,” Murphy said when asked about the situation. “I always marvel at the things that become headline news that most of the time are completely fabricated.”

Next season will be the show’s last, and Murphy also says that the offer is on the table for any member of the cast that wants to return.

“Naya’s coming back next year, Lea’s coming back next year, anybody ever in that cast has an open invitation to come back and finish the character they so beautifully started,” he revealed.

Allegations that Rivera had been let go from the show following a blow-out fight with the producers first surfaced last month, and she was noticeably absent from last night’s season finale (Santana was shooting a commercial in Iowa…because they have the best wheat fields to run through in slow motion.)

During a recent interview with People, Chris Colfer (Kurt) also spoke out about the way his fellow castmates are portrayed in the media, seemingly referring to the Naya/Lea situation.

“It’s really sad,” the 23-year-old actor/singer said. “I’ve seen some of my closest friends on Glee go through where these horrible things are written about them and none of it is true, but some reporter wants to get a hit, they say so-and-so is a raging b***h.”
