Will Ferrell And Chad Smith Battle It Out In Epic Drum Off

Will Ferrell and Chad Smith proved once and for all last night that they are not, in fact, the same person.

The celebrity doppelgangers appeared on The Tonight Show yesterday to engage in an epic drum, though it was quite confusing who was who, as they were dressed exactly alike and kept impersonating one another.

Seriously, these guys could be long lost brothers:

After speaking with Jimmy Fallon, the comedian and the Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer took the stage to play four solos and it seemed as though the victory was going to go to Chad Smith (especially since Will Ferrell wasn’t actually playing the drums…)

Then, in a stunning twist, Ferrell busted out his infamous cow bell for another rendition of Blue Oyster Cult’s “Don’t Fear The Reaper,” with the rest of the Chili Peppers joining he and Smith on stage for the performance.

In the end, it was Will Ferrell’s percussion skills that reigned supreme, and Jimmy Fallon even presented him with a Golden Cow Bell Award.

To make their long-awaited battle finally come to fruition, Smith and Ferrell raised over $300,000 for charity, so all of the smack-talking and cow belling was for a great cause!
