Brad Pitt was supporting fiancé Angelina Jolie at the world premiere of her latest film Maleficent yesterday evening when he was attacked by infamous red carpet crasher Vitalii Sediuk.

According to Variety, the actor was making his way through the crowd in front of the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood when Sediuk reportedly jumped over a barricade and hit Pitt in the face.

Immediately afterwards, Sediuk was arrested by the LAPD and is apparently being held on $20,000 bail.

E! News reports that Pitt was luckily unharmed by the attack, and quickly returned to signing autographs and interacting with fans as soon as Sediuk was hauled off.

As a 25-year-old Ukrainian television personality, Sediuk has made a name for himself on red carpets around the world as a prankster and troublemaker. He is likely best remembered for trying to kiss Will Smith at the Men in Black 3 premiere in 2012 (for which he was slapped in the face by Smith) and most recently, for attempting to stick his head under America Ferrara’s dress at the Cannes Film Festival.

Sediuk also crashed the stage at the 2013 Grammys while Adele was about to make an acceptance speech, and has attempted to grab hold of Leonardo DiCaprio and Bradley Cooper at other events.

However, the Brad Pitt incident seems to be the first time Vitalii Sediuk has gotten violent, and People states that he could face battery charges.

Meanwhile, people everywhere are likely wondering: How in the world does this guy keep getting onto red carpets?
