Chris Brown Released From Jail, Says He’s Getting ‘Back To The Music’

Chris Brown was released from a Los Angeles County Jail in the early hours of this morning.

According to E! News, Brown (25) had been in custody since March after he was booted from court-ordered rehab facility for refusing to follow the rules. The troubled singer also violated his probation last year by getting into a fight outside a hotel in Washington D.C., which he admitted to in front of a judge.

On May 9, a judge sentenced the R&B star to a year in county jail; however, Brown was given credit for 234 days, which were a combination of time already served in jail and in the rehab facility.

US Weekly reports that, though Brown was supposed to serve an additional 131 days at the time of his sentencing, it was predicted that he would be released much sooner.

Meanwhile, he’s still expected to complete 1,000 hours of community service, submit to random drug testing and undergo counseling. Brown’s probation has also been extended through January 23, 2015.

Following his release, Brown took to Twitter to express his relief:

Brown’s probation originally stemmed from his assault on ex-girlfriend Rihanna, to which he plead guilty in June of 2009.
