Rita Ora And Calvin Harris Split – Was Justin Bieber Involved?

It looks like this musical couple is no more!

Over the weekend, reports surfaced the Rita Ora and Calvin Harris had called it quits after about a year of dating.

Harris, a Scottish DJ/singer/producer, and Ora, a pop singer on-the-rise, first stepped out together back in May of 2013, but both have recently had to deal with increasingly busy schedules, which may have contributed to their breakup.

In fact, 23-year-old Ora told The Mirror just last month that she’s “not a big fan of distance relationships.”

“If you had a choice, you want that person with you,” the British pop star said. “It makes me pretty sad. But you work with what you’ve got.”

Meanwhile, some sources are alleging that it was something – or rather, someone – else that was the cause of the couple’s downfall.

Ora was recently in the studio recording a duet with Justin Bieber, and TMZ writes that the two were getting a little too close for Harris’s comfort, with Ora allegedly sitting on Bieber’s lap and Bieber giving her backrubs.

Still, Harris, who has already been spotted out on the town with a slew of ladies (via Daily Mail), seemingly maintains that there’s no bad blood between he and his ex.

“To address speculation – myself and Rita ended our relationship some time ago. She is a beautiful, talented woman & I wish her all the best,” he wrote on Twitter on June 6.
