Things are about to get really dumb!

Exactly twenty years after Dumb and Dumber debuted in all of its stupid glory, Harry and Lloyd are back for a second installment.

Dumb and Dumber To, as the sequel is so aptly named, is due out on November 14, and co-stars Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels appeared on The Tonight Show yesterday (June 10) to debut the film’s trailer and discuss both films.

“It’s not even a movie anymore,” Carrey said. “It’s a phenomenon.”

The second Dumb and Dumber is centered on the dimwitted duo’s search for Harry’s long lost daughter in light of the news that he needs a new kidney. As predicted, hilarity and a lot of ridiculousness ensues.

And as a special preview, Carrey and Daniels showed off a bit of their natural dynamic on The Tonight Show, joking about how the serious Newsroom actor gets into his ‘Dumb’ character and reminiscing about their first days on the original film’s set.

“I remember the audition, because I was Mr. Drama and he was Jim, and I had to prove that I could be funny,” Daniels remembered. “We were doing the hot tub scene, and before we even said a word, he just went into Lloyd.”

“I motor-boated him!” Carrey then revealed, to which Daniels said, “I just kind of sloshed my brain around and then I was there.”
