When Jay Leno announced his retirement that brought on a late night shuffle, I was hoping Chelsea Handler would land somewhere on primetime TV.  I guess this comedian is a little too much for that! I love her, and I’m so happy to hear about her new talk show gig!

The funny gal has landed a new talk show on Netflix which is set to debut in 2016! She’s also set to bring stand up specials to the streaming network! Netflix is the perfect place for this outspoken comedian!  I love her take and jabs on celebrities and pop culture! Nobody entertains like Chelsea Handler! Here’s what she had to say in a statement about her new opportunity:

“If I was going to continue working in this industry, I knew I had to do something outside the box to keep myself interested, I wanted to sit with the cool kids at lunch, so I approached Netflix to make sure they were as cool as I thought they were, and when I confirmed my suspicions, like with any other future lover, I made my move…I’m more excited than I’ve been in awhile, and the team at Netflix is the most forward thinking, alert group I’ve sat down with in ages…No offense to the Shahs of Sunset.”

We don’t have to wait until 2016 to get our Chelsea fix! Her first  hour-long standup comedy special based on her tour, Uganda Be Kidding Me, will premiere on October 10, 2014!  So are you excited for Chelsea Handler coming to Netflix?
