The Jonas Brothers surprised the world last year when they announced that they would be going their separate ways after “a deep rift within the band” over their musical direction caused them to cancel their fall tour.

“It’s really hard to say ‘forever,’” Nick Jonas told People at the time. “We’re closing a chapter, for sure.”

But has that ‘forever’ already ended?

A report from Radar Online earlier this week suggested that the Jo Bros were allegedly getting back together, with plans to announce their reunion at the end of this summer.

“There was a lot going on with all of them at the time [of their breakup]” a source told Radar. “Kevin was getting ready to have a child with his wife Danielle, Joe was dealing with some personal issues and Nick was simply feeling restless and wanted to test the waters on his own.”

“The boys are extremely close and have realized that they need each other more than they would like to believe,” the insider continued. “Kevin has adapted well to fatherhood, Joe is doing really well and has seemed to have beaten his demons and Nick just really wants to get back to making music.”

However, Gossip Cop is calling shenanigans on the article, stating that another source close to the Jonas family has said that claims of a reunion are “completely untrue.”

Meanwhile,  Kevin, Joe and Nick have yet to address the reports, so only time will tell if any plans are actually in the works for the Jonas Brothers.
