Football is back! I’m personally very excited for the upcoming season.  Training camp is underway, and “Defend The Den” is the mission at hand!

There’s a topic that keeps coming up about defensive tackle player, Ndamukong Suh that I’m getting tired of hearing about. I don’t blame Suh for any of it.  The media just keeps hammering the topic of why Suh hasn’t resigned with the Lions. In my opinion, it’s none of our business as fans.  It’s between Suh and the Lions.

To get you caught up, Suh is entering his final year of his contract.  At this point, a new deal hasn’t been reached so lots of people are speculating that Suh doesn’t want to stay in Detroit, which is why he hasn’t signed a new deal.

However, Suh has said countless times that he wants to stay and play in Detroit, and doesn’t want this contract situation to be a distraction to the team.  The focus is to win!

If he becomes a free agent at the end of the season, sure that’s gonna be a big story.  For now, let’s focus on the season ahead and winning here in the D!

Listen to this and let me know if you agree with me.  This whole situation has me thinking of something my parent’s use to tell me and that’s worry about yourself and not what everyone else is doing.

I understand Suh is in the spotlight as one of the highest paid players in the league and that money is always an issue on a team.  I’m confident Suh and the Lions will figure it out.  Until then I love you SUH and Go Lions!
