When we pulled up to The Palace last night for the Prismatic World Tour, the first thing that caught my eye was the massive amount of tour buses and semi trucks! Once I got inside and saw the stage set-up, that explained why there were so many!!

Katy Perry, in one word, was UNBELIEVABLE! That was my first time seeing her in concert and she was more than I anticipated.  As a longtime KATY CAT fan she was AMAZING and now I love her even more!

The Palace was filled with little Katy Cats everywhere!  It was the perfect mix of young kids, teenagers, adults, and many dressed in their favorite Katy Perry attire!  It was also a very colorful crowd with tons of fun people to watch!

There were two opening acts before Katy: we got there right as Ferras was playing so I missed him, but I did get my free CD sampler of Katy’s new artist when I bought my $60 t-shirt! Hey – it was must-have merchandise!

We got to our seats which were on the floor right by the stage!!  Country’s newest cutie Kacey Musgraves hit the stage next.  She had a fun set-up with her neon, light up cacti. I respect her talents and her voice sounded good, but at this point, I just wanted Katy Perry!

Finally, the moment we all had been waiting for!  Katy Perry comes out singing “ROAR and the nearly sold-out crowd went wild! The massive stage came to life with so many props!

Dancers emerged in these elaborate costumes and it was colorful sight! Katy had tons of wigs, blue, green, and  fluorescent braids. And yes, there was cats and cat costumes!

Katy came to please, giving us a solid two hour show!  I felt like I was in Vegas!  Her costumes lit up so you could see her no matter where you were! She flew high on a swing waving to all her fans in the arena!

The place erupted when Perry came out for her first costume change to perform “Dark Horse“! Katy transformed into an Egyptian goddess and then slammed into E.T.”  which Perry performed while suspended backwards from the ceiling!

She had trapped doors everywhere and she would drop down and do her quick costume changes. Vocally, I thought Katy Perry sounded flawless!!  She’s been written up for not being vocally strong, but after seeing her live, I disagree!

I had a couple favorite moments in the show:  I loved when Katy stepped off the stage for a break and they went into this cat video, after which she came out in her cat costume and did a jazzy routine of “Hot n’ Cold.

After another costume change, Katy reappeared looking like a fairy princess in the garden surrounded by big sunflowers.   She chatted with the fans and shared some inspiring words to the younger generation. She took selfies with a few lucky fans up front. She was adorable!

Katy  bantered back and forth more than any other artist I’ve seen in a while and thanked her fans for sticking by her, then dedicating “Unconditionally to them.

I could go on and on about how incredible Katy Perry was last night!  For her encore she came out and performed “Firework,” which was the perfect way to end a Katy Perry party!

At almost 30 she is a validated pop star! And to think her first record label dropped her…..   Keep shining Katy and thank you for an amazing night!

Here’s the setlist from last night!
