THIS Big Star Reportedly Just Dropped Out Of The ‘Magic Mike’ Sequel

Oh no, oh no, oh no!

It looks like Matthew McConaughey has reportedly dropped out of the Magic Mike sequel, Magic Mike XXL, according to Indie Wire.

The site claims that director Greg Jacobs confirmed that the Academy Award winning actor is not reprising his role as Dallas in the follow-up film, despite Channing Tatum’s previous statement that the full cast would be returning.

Meanwhile, Jacobs also added that the sequel will be “very different” from the original, explaining of the plot, “It’s road trip movie and put it this way, it’s different enough that once you see it you’ll understand why we made a sequel. No one will be accusing us of making the same movie twice.”

Among the cast members that are returning include Tatum, Matt Bomer and Joe Manganiello.

Magic Mike XXL is set to hit theaters on July 1, 2015.
