The Chainsmokers are riding high with the success of “Closer” featuring Halsey: Over the last year, the dance duo’s profile has exploded with “Roses” and some high-profile collaborations.

That opens doors to most festivals bubbling-under artists can only dream about, but with great opportunity comes the chance to fall flat on your face…and Alex Pall did just that at the KAABOO Music Festival in San Diego last weekend. The band uploaded a video to Twitter of Alex sustaining a nasty fall from a DJ booth onstage, like a slow-moving car crash. Try as he might, Pall just can’t stop himself from wiping out.

The chipper caption “RIP ALEX” shows how he and bandmate Andrew Taggart took the spill in stride. Watch here:
