It’s no secret that Kylie Jenner looks a little different today than when she first stepped into the spotlight as a preteen.

And while she’s attributed most of the changes in her appearance to getting older and gaining some weight, the 19-year-old Keeping Up with the Kardashians starlet has admitted that at least one of her features is not natural.

Last year, Jenner copped to the fact that she’d gotten lip injections to plump her pout, which has arguably become her most famous asset, even sparking the creation of her ultra-popular Lip Kit line.

While recently speaking with Complex about her decision to get her lips done, Jenner revealed the unexpected person who influenced her to make the change.

“This guy I kissed was like, ‘Your lips are really small but you’re a really good kisser. I didn’t think you were gonna be good at kissing,'” she recalled. “It was so rude. From then on, I just felt like I saw guys staring at my lips. I felt like no one wanted to kiss me.”

As her insecurities grew, Jenner decided to get temporary lip fillers, but she side-stepped the truth in interviews and on social media because she didn’t want to be judged by the public.

“I wasn’t even 17 yet,” she explained. “What if I came out and said, ‘Oh, yeah, I got my lips done’? What are all those moms going to think about me? These kids, my fans, they’re going to think I’m crazy. I didn’t want to be a bad influence.”

Although Jenner maintains that her lips are the only thing she’s had modified, the makeup maven says that the public still doesn’t believe her.

“It’s annoying to hear every day that you’re just this fake, plastic person when you’re not,” she said.
